D.S Edens Ltd hereby referred to as “Edens” has established this Policy in accordance with the General Processing of Personal Data Regulation (GDPR).
This policy applies to former, existing and potential clients as well as to any visitors of the Company website.
This policy aims to provide you with information on what type of information we collect, how it is used and the circumstances where it could be shared with third parties.
The protection of your privacy and personal information is of great importance to us. This is in relation to personal data as provided to us by you whether in paper form, verbally or electronically.
We are committed to safeguarding any Client information we collect, process and store, applying all reasonable measures, including strict security standards to ensure that Clients’ personal data will be processed in a manner that provides protection against unauthorized or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction or damage.
Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Edens. Edens offers this website, including all information and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here.

Collection of personal data
Edens shall only collect information necessary to fulfil any services being offered to you and to improve our services to you.
Edens will gather information and documentation as required, depending on the services being obtained. Your contact details will be received if you make contact with us through our website.
By agreeing to these Terms of Service, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your state or province of residence and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site.

Copyright for all visual media created by or on behalf of Edens (t/a D.S. Edens Education and Training and Edens hair and beauty) will belong equally to the photographer, the academy and any stakeholders involved which includes models, students and tutors, unless otherwise specified within a contract. Ownership of visual media will be owned by Edens and cannot be sold by any other party/stakeholder. Edens reserve the right to use these visual media at their discretion for any purpose.
The headings used in this agreement are included for convenience only and will not limit or otherwise affect these Terms.
Accuracy, Completeness and Timeliness of Information
We will take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions, images and prices of products and courses appearing on the Site are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the system; however, to the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not warrant that the product descriptions, colours or other content available on the Site are accurate, complete, reliable, current, or error-free. Although we aim to keep the Site as up to date as possible, the information including product descriptions appearing on this Site at a particular time may not always reflect the product exactly at the moment you place an order.

Prices for our products and services are subject to change without notice.
We reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue the Service (or any part or content thereof) without notice at any time.

A student is accepted for enrolment once a 20% deposit payment has been received and an enrolment confirmation email has been sent by Edens. This deposit payment is non-refundable.
Full course fees must be paid via bank transfer or credit/debit card 14 days before the course commences, unless a payment plan or other method of payment is previously agreed and has been confirmed via email. Edens reserves the right to cancel a course/courses if full payment (or payment plan instalment) has not been received.
All course fees include 19% VAT.
Course fees do not include travel, accommodation, beverages or meals.
Students requesting dates outside of Edens schedule will be charged an additional fee for scheduling new dates. Edens reserve the right to allocate further students to these dates, unless previously agreed.
Unless agreed up to 7 days before the start of your course date, any downgrades of course packages will consist of a 20% surcharge of the downgrade price. This is effective from the first day of the course.
Students must provide sufficient notice for all cancellations. Minimum 14 working days for cancellations and minimum 10 working days for re-bookings (where applicable) – For courses longer than 1 week in duration a minimum of 28 working days must be given for cancellations and re-bookings.
All cancellations must be made directly over the phone to the office and followed up with an email.
In the event of cancellation of courses/examinations by the student, deposit payments will not be refunded and Edens reserves the right to charge 100% of course fees. In the event of a rebooking there will be a charge of up to 100 euros dependent upon course plus an admin charge of 20 euros. Rebooking fee, admin charge and any remaining course fees must be paid in full before rebooking unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Should the course be cancelled by Edens due to unforeseen circumstances, bad weather, terrorism or act of God, then Edens would not refund students. An alternative course date will be offered.
On occasion, there will be no shows and last minute cancellations when it comes to models that are not in the control of Edens.
Models can also book themselves in for opportunities and may not be suitable for the treatment.
Edens has a process to minimize this but on occasion these incidents will occur.
Edens takes no responsibility or liability in any form in these situations.
Students must complete and email back their initial assessment forms in order to complete their enrolment onto their course. Failure to do so may result in students being refused commencement of their course and moved to another course date.
Students are required to attend all dates of their course. If students fail to attend any part of their course for any reason, Edens will not offer refunds. Catch up dates are at the discretion of Edens and subject to availability.
Students should arrive on time, as stated on their joining letter. Students should contact Edens at the earliest opportunity if they cannot arrive on time.
Edens reserves the right to withhold certificates for poor attendance and failure to pay in full all fees.
Absence should be avoided wherever possible. Any time off for personal reasons, religious holidays, etc. must be discussed and agreed before booking.
Students are expected to look presentable and professional at all times and maintain a professional manner. Rude and abusive behaviour will not be tolerated and will result in immediate termination of courses. No refunds will be given.
All rooms are to be kept in a clean and tidy manner. Students who cause any damages to Eden’s property will be held responsible and charged appropriately. If necessary, police will be informed.
Theft will not be tolerated and will result in immediate termination of all classes and no refund given. Police will be informed.
Students should not remove any property from the school without prior consent.
If translators are required, they must be arranged and paid for by the student. Edens must be notified of translator’s attendance at time of booking.
Any personal belongings at the premises are left at the students own risk. Edens accepts no responsibility or liability for any loss or damage.
Edens reserves the right to change courses, dates, examination dates, examination locations, course content, tutor and fees without any prior notice.
Edens reserves the right to change or restructure course content in order to best cater for students learning abilities. This can result in an increase or a decrease in course content.
For our intermediate and advanced courses, students must have completed relevant beginner’s courses or have relevant industry experience. We reserve the right to suspend/cancel student enrolment until prerequisites are satisfied.
If a student fails to attend an examination for any reason, Edens is not obliged to offer the next available exam date.
Students who fail assessments due to poor attendance and negligence of coursework/homework will be asked to pay for any extra classes needed in order for them to pass their assessments. Edens are not liable for this extra cost.
Edens accepts no liability for adverse effects or issues related to products which students have not trained with. This includes any changes to product content or if products are discontinued by their manufacturer after training.
Edens accepts no liability for treatments that students perform after training is completed. All students are advised to make sure they have both personal and public liability insurance before utilising knowledge gained at Edens.
Edens cannot be held responsible for any external links/websites or their content.
Edens reserve the right to change location of courses between all registered premises’ (prior notice will be given).
All terms and conditions are accepted by students upon booking any courses.
Rent a Chair Terms
Stylist will sign an agreement which stipulates rental period and rental fee for hiring a chair at Edens.
Stylist will also pay a refundable damage deposit of 100 euros. Rental and Damage Deposit payments must be made by a minimum of 7 days before first rental date.
Additional hours will be charged at 10 euros per hour and deducted from Damage Deposit.
Stylist will be an independent contractor, not an employee of the Edens and does not represent the Edens in any way.
Stylist will conduct his/her business between the hours of (09am-5pm)
Edens will provide a chair, mirror and trolley for use, as well as toilet, tea, coffee facilities.
Stylist will be responsible for all products and equipment unless requested and previously agreed for an additional fee.
Stylist will be responsible for their own colour products, Sylist can only use Affinage products at the price of 10 euros per tube (inc. VAT)
Stylist will, at all times, dress professionally and in a manner befitting the atmosphere of the Edens.
Stylist will maintain a clean and orderly workspace, free of material that may be considered offensive or inappropriate for the environment. Suitability of the material is subject to Edens’s discretion. Stylist must leave rental space in a clean and orderly fashion. Any time spent cleaning any untidiness/mess left by the Stylist or their client(s) will be charged at 10 euros per hour and deducted from Damage Deposit.
Stylist is not permitted to sublet the rental space.
Stylist is responsible for any damage to the rental space caused by his/her customers, guests, or by himself/herself.
By signing the rental agreement Stylist agrees to all terms and conditions stipulated above.

How does Edens securely hold course paperwork/documentation?
Course paperwork/documentation can be stored in either hard copy ‘paper’ format or in an electronic document such as Word or PDF.
Loss of data
Trainer/Assessors must take all possible actions to prevent the accidental or deliberate loss of data. Course paperwork/documentation in electronic format must be appropriately backed up either internally or remotely through the internet. Course paperwork/documentation in hard copy format must be securely stored and a backup copy generated if being sent through a secure courier.
Securely transferring data
Course paperwork/documentation may need to be transferred in either hard copy or electronic format. Audit requests from VTCT may require the Trainer/Assessor to transfer copies of paperwork/documentation which can be done electronically or in hard copy.
Retention periods for learner’s data
Course paperwork/documentation including assessment papers, must be kept by the Trainer/Assessor for seven years from the final date of the course meeting with the awarding body’s requirement. Records are maintained to allow any complaints/appeals/confirmation of achievement requests to be dealt with, as well as for auditing purposes. Trainer/Assessor must securely dispose of course paperwork/documentation once this date has been reached.
Data breaches and notification
Under the GDPR Edens has a legal duty to notify the Data Commissioner in Cyprus should a data breach occur.
What is a data breach?
A data breach is described in the GDPR as accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure of, or access to, personal data.

What Are Cookies?
